Houses of Worship

FEMA considers a house of worship to be a facility primarily used for religious services and activities. This includes buildings such as churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and other places where people gather for prayer, worship, or spiritual practices. If your facility is damaged during a presidentially declared disaster grants are available to you.  This can include money for repairs, replacement, updating the facility to current codes, including ADA accessibility.  Additional funds may be available to make your buildings less susceptible to future damages.  Our team recognizes the important role your house of worship plays in the vitality of your community, and we will work hard to find every available dollar to help you build back.
